Patty's goal is to help you define, preserve and pass on your legacy.
Patty earned her law degree from Depaul University College of Law in Chicago. She then earned a specialized Masters of Law degree LL.M from The University of Miami - Go CANES!
Patty was drawn to estate planning because she loves to hear people’s stories - how they raised their children, how they ran their family business, how they care for their parents, and lessons of life learned only through experience. There is no way to effectively plan and protect a family’s assets without knowing their specific wishes, concerns, and goals. We are blessed to have been able to help so many wonderful families over the years.
Patty is a member of The Florida Bar and The Elder Law, Real Property, and Trust Law sections of The Florida Bar as well as The Broward County Bar Association. Patty is married to her husband Todd and they have four children, two boys and two identical twin baby girls. The boys love soccer and play travel soccer so they spend an incredible amount of time on the soccer field. Patty is a proud sponsor of Plantation FC Rush Soccer Club and TOPSoccer in Plantation. TOPSoccer is an incredible program that provides children with disabilities an opportunity to play soccer. Patty’s kids are also active in TOPSoccer. This program is just another example of how soccer, and sports, bring purpose, happiness, and support to so many people.
Jodi’s goal is to guide families with care through life’s legal transitions.
Jodi Bergman has been in the legal industry for 25+ years! She is a highly skilled paralegal earning her paralegal degree following a successful dance career during her youth where she had the opportunity to travel near and far from home before settling down and marrying the love of her life, her husband Frank and raising their son, Joseph.
Jodi met Patricia Keyes over 15 years ago and thoroughly enjoys working with Patricia in the elder law industry. Jodi has extensive experience in estate planning, probate and trusts, corporate work, asset protection and public benefits. Jodi loves working with our clients and especially has a heart for our senior clients! She is our Medicaid expert and together with Patricia Keyes, the two have helped numerous clients get the help they needed qualifying for Medicaid with a perfect approval track record! They have never received a denial which offers clients extra assurance and peace of mind.
Jodi still enjoys teaching dance in addition to her full-time work here at the Law Office of Patricia Keyes. In addition to her passion for dance, Jodi enjoys traveling to different coasts and destinations with her husband and family. Jodi also cherishes her beloved goldendoodle, Scarlett, who sometimes travels with the family!
Brant’s goal is to support every client’s planning journey with precision, empathy, and care.
Brant Boehm is a legal assistant who has been working with the Law Office of Patricia Keyes since 2022. He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a BA degree in Technical Theatre and a minor in Psychology. He is currently pursuing an Associates degree in science, specifically for work in funeral services.
When he is not working with Patty to help clients with their Estate Planning needs, he can be found practicing art skills or taking care of his two cats.
Cathy’s goal is to provide dependable support and guidance with every client interaction.
Cathy Laystrom joined The Law Office of Patricia Keyes in 2023. She has been in the legal industry for over 25 years. Her formal education consists of a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a legal studies concentration.
When assisting clients, Cathy wears many hats and is an integral part of the team! Outside of work, Cathy is an avid animal lover and enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling.
